UBS FINRA Securities Arbitrations
- posted: Dec. 24, 2020
For Immediate Release – LAW OFFICES OF DAVID HARRISON, P.C. have filed on behalf of a customer, FINRA arbitration against UBS FINANCIAL SERVICES, INC. (“UBS”) alleging UBS registered representative Rodney Engel, CRD No. 2643062 engaged in sales practice violations causing damages not less than $98,347. The FINRA statement of claim alleges that UBS breached its fiduciary duty to the customer, engaged in constructive fraud, fraud by misrepresentation and omission, breach of contract, failure to supervise and control, and violation of state and federal securities laws.
In addition to the above filing, UBS has been the subject of many arbitrations alleging its yield enhancement strategy (“YES”), which primarily targeted wealthy investors, promising diversification and constant returns through an iron condor options strategy were unsuitable. When the market became volatile, the YES strategy was no longer successful, but many at UBS continued to recommend the strategy despite customers losing significant capital.
